Todaiji
Built during the Nara period by Emperor Shomu, this temple and its many Buddha statues are national treasures, and it was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998. The temple is one of the world’s largest wooden buildings, and the Great Buddha has a height of approximately 18 meters.
